- OAAS will provide training in Outcomes Management for
members.
- OAAS members will survey members about areas of “Best
Practice” to find out where they want more information,
resources and training.
- Continue Business Practices Resource Group as a mechanism
for providing information to members.
- OAAS will enhance partnerships with all stakeholders,
including the Rehabilitation Services Commission, Alliance
of Work Centers and other statewide and local resources
by collaborating to address systemic issues and concerns,
promoting training opportunities and encouraging the development
or expansion of services and supports to adults with developmental
disabilities.

- OAAS will remain active on all rule-writing committees
that have direct impact on adult services.
- OAAS board members who are on rule work group will continue
to e-mail summaries of meetings to the rest of the board
for input and recommendations.
- OAAS will continue to lobby ODMR/DD, the Superintendent’s
Association, and the County Board’s Association
on the necessity of an individual service plan rule that
addresses
all components of the planning process.

- Have an ongoing SD section in the “Leader” to
communicate updates in the progress of SD. Include suggestions
in the section for A.S. directors to take to their local
SD workgroups.
- Promote conferences and training related to SD.

- Continue the dialogue between SSAs
and AS to keep everyone up to date and hearing the same information
at the same time.
- Gather summaries of the TAT meetings with SSA to develop
articles for the “Leader” and training for
members that suggest “best practices” for
overcoming identified barriers to the relationships.
- OAAS will continue to encourage dialogue and joint
training with SSA’s to assure understanding of
the SSA rule as it pertains to adult services.
- OAAS will coordinate training on the amended adult services
rule and all other rules affecting adult services.
